A lot of the guys before going on a romance tour want to correspond with the ladies. As one gentleman said “I had to write to the women before going on the tour because if I didn’t it felt like I was jumping out of an airplane without a parachute”. So I decided to talk with Ken Agee with A Foreign Affair (the largest international introduction tour company with an excellent reputation) to get his thought about how to be successful corresponding with the ladies before going on a romance tour. Here is what Ken had to say. Guys I would suggest taking Ken’s advice seriously because Ken and AFA have been doing this for over 17 years and have the most success international agency at help men and women find there life partner.

• If you have all ready scheduled a romance tour, tell the lady when you will be in her city. By teller her your arrival date she will take you more seriously and will be more inclined to write you back.

• Do Not Send Money!!! Just like anywhere, there are honest people and there are dishonest people. The point of your correspondence is to develop a special relationship with a foreign woman, not to purchase one. We want you to be aware that you may contact women who will ask you for money for one reason or another. If you are asked for money it should immediately set off alarms and you should proceed very cautiously. There are instances where there may be a valid reason to send money to someone with whom you have been corresponding for some time. • Do include a photo of yourself, and not just any photo. Take some time and put some thought into it. For example, if you are the outdoors type you may want to take it while hiking or biking. The point is to give the women the best possible representation of yourself. But do not send too many just consider choosing two or three of your best photos.

• Remember when writing your letter that this woman's native language is not English. That doesn't mean she will not be able to understand your letter, but by keeping it simple you will have a much better chance of successfully communicating with her. Try to avoid using four- or five- syllable words; instead of impressing her, you will probably just confuse her.

           

  

• Try to keep the initial letter fast-paced. You certainly don't want to be discussing things like marriage and what your children might look like in your first letter! You may want to tell her a little about yourself, where you were raised, and what schools you have attended. Write a little about your interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes. Basically, just write about things that you would normally talk about on a first date.

• Make sure you ask her plenty of questions about herself in your first letter. People like to know that others are interested in them and their activities. By asking questions about her she will think that you are interested in her as a person and she will want to respond to you immediately.

• You may find it useful to do some independent research on the country of origin of the woman you are interested in. Not only will it impress the woman, but it may save you from committing a gaffe. You must always remember that this woman was raised in a totally different culture than our own. Obviously, it is in your best interest to know as much as possible about that culture.

• Should you get to the point that you want to visit the woman or women you are corresponding with, we strongly recommend that you consider a well respected Foreign Romance Tour Company. Even if you are interested in only one woman it makes sense to go with a group simply for the support you will receive. You never know what it’s going to be like once you meet the woman in person. This is an important process and the results of the decision that you make will be far reaching and long lasting. Take the time to correspond with many different women before committing to that special one. The Socials

          The Socials are the main event on an international romance tour. This is where you will meet around one hundred beautiful women on a Latin tour and over 200 on a Ukraine tour. Agencies like A Foreign Affair the largest and most reputable tour agency like a ratio of 8 women to each man. Here is brief description on what the Social experience is like.

           

 Around an hour before the first social you will meet the interpreters outside the ballroom entrance. This is the time to get to know them and find one that you are comfortable with who can be your interpreter for the evening.  It is important for her to get to know what you are looking for in a woman along with the basic background of your life. This includes have you been married, do you have kids and so on. The more she knows about you, the more she can help you. Make a plan! I asked my interpreter to keep notes on the ladies. At each table she would write down all the ladies names, age, how many children if any, and their ages. When we left the table I would tell her if any lady interested me and she would circle her name. This way I would not forget the lady - with so many women it is easy to get confused.

While you are meeting the interpreters, the ladies will be starting to arrive for the social. For the ladies to attend they must have been invited to the social by the agency. Ladies will sign in and receive their nametags and be seated in the ballroom. I’ll tell you this: at times it was difficult to talk with the interpreters – some of the ladies would really catch your eye and distract you. Seeing all those beautiful ladies walking in all dressed up in sexy eveningwear, WOW!

            Take a minute and remember what you want and what you are looking for in a woman -and tell yourself to stay focused. At times it will be difficult!

            The excitement is building, and then your interpreter turns to you and says, “it’s time;” she takes your arm and escorts you into the ballroom – you’ll feel like a king! While you are walking into the ballroom you are just amazed at all the stunningly beautiful woman -all interested in meeting you. It truly is an amazing feeling. You are escorted onto a stage and the manager of the agency introduces the gentleman. After the introduction your interpreter will escort you to your first table of women. Once you are seated, you will introduce yourself to the ladies. But my interpreter and I decided that she would just introduce me, as this would save time where I could interact with the ladies more. Once I was introduced, the ladies would introduce themselves. We would ask each other questions about what we liked, hobbies, work and just about anything else.

Believe me - you will be nervous at first but after a few minutes you will become more relaxed. Try to joke and laugh and have a good time while talking with the ladies - they like nothing better than a warm smile and a good laugh. The ladies are fantastic, very interesting; you can tell they are very sincere, and genuinely hoping to find a life partner. When talking with a woman always make good eye contact with her. You can learn so much from there eyes and facial expressions. About every 20 minutes you will move to a different table. Makes sure that if there was a woman that really caught you eye, to either get her phone number or have you interpreter makes a note where you can arrange to contact her later. 

About 90 minutes into the social they will have some entertainment. At the social I attended they had traditional Colombian music with dancers. They had the guys up dancing with the dancers and then they had everybody dancing. It was a nice break and a lot of fun. About half way through the social they serve a nice buffet dinner. This is a time to relax, mingle, and think about the woman you have met. Before the social ends ask a lady if she would like to go dancing after the social, a lot of the guys will go together with their dates. This is a lot of fun - you are getting to know your date and also bond with the guys. Also with either the same lady or a different lady set up a date for the next day for the mid-morning city tour.

Cristina and I are the featured couple on "A Foreign Affair"

Not in my wildest dreams did I expect to meet Cristina and fall so hard for someone so fast, but destiny could not be denied! I am just your typical middle age guy, with an average income, and average looks searching for my life partner.
As you all know, it is not easy finding a woman in the United States. I tried the Internet dating sites with no luck because the women were either different from their profile or the lady was nice but there was no chemistry between us. So I decided to broaden my horizons and decided to go on an international romance tour, which I believed would give me the best opportunity to find that special connection between a man and women. Best case scenario, I would find a woman that I had a connection of some kind with and then continue the relationship after I finished my romance tour. I would travel to visit her again, spend quality time with her and maybe the relationship would grow into something special and long lasting in time.
The worst case scenario, I would enjoyed a good vacation, meet some nice guys, date some beautiful Latin women, learn more about their culture, and have a beautiful personal tour guide as my escort.
Without taking that next step and getting out of my comfort zone I would have never found my true love, Cristina. She is a remarkable woman. She is a true extrovert and loves socializing and is sweet, loving, and loves life. In Colombia she was the number one sells person for several years for a national insurance company. She had a new car and a three-bedroom townhome in a beautiful upscale neighborhood all paid for. She had a great life in Colombia excellent career, lots of friends and family.
But none of that was as important to her as having a man to love and to be loved. She dreamed of a loving family and growing old with the man she loved. She was not interest in Colombia men most are unfaithful and she was not going to except that. So she joined AFA and went to several social in a two-year period and went on a couple of dates from the socials but none of the men she felt a connection with, until the night we met.
I can remember that night like it was yesterday. It was the first social on a Friday night I was walking with my interpreter to my sixth table. I looked down and Cristina was sitting next to my chair. She looked up at me our eyes met and instantly I felt this unbelievable strong connection with her. I had never felt such an amazing intense chemistry with anyone before. I could not be happier I have the love of my life, my wife Cristina.
I am so lucky and proud to have her love. Sometimes I wonder to myself how did this happen? But the answer is simple it was destiny.

Women’s English Ability

            Some of the ladies speak or understand very little English and some speak fluent English. Don’t dismiss a woman because she does not speak English or speaks very little English. It would be a shame to pass up your perfect fit because of a language barrier.

            My wife spoke very little English and I spoke practically no Spanish, but we managed to communicate using our hands, by touch, facial expressions and a pocket electronic translator that I had brought with me. Boy - did it come in handy! We found that it was usually one word that was the stumbling block and that was where the electronic translator came in handy. So by us using the pocket electronic translator we where able to get our idea or thoughts across, and we were able to understand and get to know each other better. Also the electronic translator could switch back from English to Spanish so both of us could use it. If the two of you really have feelings for each other you will find a way to communicate with each other. For me, it was fun trying to communicate with my wife when we first met. We had some very good laughs from the experience.

            You need to have patience; a normal conversation in English that should last one minute will take five minutes or so. But when you are with the woman you love, time means nothing.

            Depending on the type of pocket translator you want you can spend from $30 to several hundred dollars.

            My suggestion to help eliminate the language barrier and any miscommunication is to bring a pocket electronic translator.
